For several months, there have been rumblings about 2 dogs living in a backyard tethered with chains and no protections from the elements.  A neighbor of these dogs had send out pleas for help to her friends, family, acquaintances, anyone that would listen.  They contacted Travis County Sheriff, Pflugerville Police Department, Pflugerville Animal Control, Commissioners, Mayors, and anyone to whom she could find contact information.  No one stepped up to help (not our jurisdiction, no one answered the door, etc). Several dogs at the Pflugerville Animal Shelter need your help! They need training so they can learn some manners. Good manners make them more adoptable! Most of them need basic training like not jumping, “sit”, “stay”, and “down”…but a few need more extensive training through a Board and Train program. We are working to raise some money for some past medical expenses for our pets and some new and exciting projects we are working on for the shelter (play yards, rescue remedy supply, martingale collars for the shelter, dog treats).
